Itinerary

Meet the main group on 17 May (15:50) in Kansai International Airport before traveling to Kobe. Settle in with a delightful bento dinner and relax after your journey.

We start the day with a scenic drive across Awaji Island, where you’ll capture the awe-inspiring Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the famous Awaji Interchange. At Monzen Ichiban-gai, try on traditional pilgrimage attire for a guided walk between Ryozen-ji and Gokuraku-ji temples. Later, embark on a thrilling Uzushio cruise to witness the Naruto whirlpools, and enjoy a relaxing onsen and Awa Odori folk dance performance in the evening.

After breakfast, venture to the stunning Oboke Koboke Gorge and cross the iconic Kazurabashi Vine Bridge. Enjoy a lunch of the famous Warayaki cuisine, then unwind on Katsurahama Beach, where you can see the Ryoma Sakamoto statue. We’ll also visit Chikurinji Temple before ending the day with an onsen experience.

Today includes a visit to the Nagoya Chinkabashi Bridge and a trek to Nakatsu Valley Gorge, where you’ll marvel at the vibrant Niyodo Blue waters and Uryu Falls. We’ll also stop at Ishiteji Temple before reaching Dogo Onsen, Japan’s oldest hot spring area. Enjoy exploring, trying foot baths, and unwinding with another evening onsen.

Discover Uchiko Town, home to a traditional kabuki theater, charming historical streets, and a massive reclining Buddha statue. A roll cake-making session at Hatada Sweets Factory brings a sweet touch, and a ride up to Matsuyama Castle and a stroll through Okaido Shopping Street complete the day.

Explore Kompira Shrine, then enjoy Kagawa’s famous udon noodles with a hands-on udon-making experience. We’ll visit Ritsurin Garden for a peaceful stroll (boat ride recommended!), soaking in the serene beauty. End the day with a memorable dinner at a local restaurant.

Take a ferry from Tokushima to Wakayama and journey to Mt. Koya for a temple stay. Experience Kongobuji Temple and the ancient sites of Danjogaran and Konpondaito. Dinner at the temple will feature shojin ryori, a traditional Buddhist vegetarian meal.

After a Buddhist morning service and Okunoin Cemetery walk, continue to Nara to visit Todaiji Temple and the famous Deer Park. In Kyoto, enjoy your final night with a Sayonara Dinner after exploring Byodoin Temple and Omotesando.

Today is a day to explore Kyoto at your leisure, with endless options from historical temples to local markets.

Spend your morning enjoying Kyoto before an evening departure back to Singapore. Main Group’s departure flight timing 26 May (22:05).
