Itinerary

Join the main group in Misawa (arrival flight, 29 Jul, 11:50).

Visit the Nebuta MuseumWa Rasse“, where intricate, illuminated floats bring the spirit of Japan’s famous festivals to life. Shop for local delicacies and souvenirs at A-Factory before enjoying a hearty dinner at a local restaurant. Unwind in the evening, reflecting on your first full day in Tohoku.

Venture to Kuji City, where the Amber Center showcases the art of ancient craftsmanship. After lunch, marvel at the natural beauty of Ryusendo Caves, filled with crystal-clear waters and dramatic limestone formations. Experience the tranquility of Tohoku’s natural landscapes as you transfer to your next hotel for a relaxing evening.

Cruise the serene waters of Miyako Bay aboard the Umineko Maru, soaking in breathtaking coastal views. Savor a unique dining experience with Morioka’s famous Wanko Soba, a fun and interactive meal where you see how many bowls of soba you can finish. In the afternoon, enjoy a sake tasting at a local brewery and learn about the meticulous craft behind Japan’s beloved rice wine. End the day with a delicious dinner and restful night in Morioka.

Immerse yourself in the traditions of Akita with a hands-on Kiritanpo-making class, learning to create this comforting regional dish. Feel the energy of the Hanawabayashi Festival as you experience its lively music, dance, and festival games firsthand.
